Technology Grant News

Community-Based Collaborative Research Consortium
The Consortium is requesting proposals for funding for research and evaluation of community based collaboratives concerned with management of natural resources. To learn more about the grants program or to apply, visit http://www.cbcrc.org/grants.html.

EPA Science to Achieve Results (STAR) Program 2002
Proposals for these grants are now being accepted in three focus areas: research on ecosystems valuation; research linking individual environmental values with group or community valuation of environmental amenities/community environmental decision-making in general; and research on costs and benefits, use and effects of environmental information in environmental decision-making by individuals, communities, governments, and other organizations. National Wildlife Refuge Support Group Grant Program
Non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for Start-Up, Capacity Building, or Project Specific grants from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Grants will be provided for: 1) starting refuge support groups with formative and/or initial operational support; 2) strengthening existing refuge support groups' capacity; 3) non-profit organizations seeking support for a specific project. Patagonia Grants
Patagonia has funding available for citizen-supported organizations that identify and work on the root causes of environmental problems and approach issues with a commitment to long-term change. Eligible projects must be action-oriented, strategic, build public involvement and support, and focus on basic causes. Patagonia focuses on funding around local groups working to protect local habitat, and supports individual efforts to protect a specific stand of forest, stretch of river or indigenous wild species.
