This January 2002 publication from the US EPA Office of Policy,
Economics and Innovation, Office of the Small Business Ombudsman
is a valuable bibliography of publications designed to help
small businesses meet their environmental responsibilities.
The publications listing identifies over 300 EPA publications
for small businesses that can help them meet the requirements
of the major Federal environmental laws - and it provides
a simple way to order all of the listed publications! For

Check Your Success: A Community Guide to Developing Indicators
This manual is designed for use by organizations and groups
of all sizes that are working on environmental protection
at a community level. It will assist you in your efforts to
improve your community by helping you develop indicators that
measure your success. It also will show you how your group
can move beyond a narrow focus and start thinking about how
your activities can be used to address the connections between

Agroforestry Notes
The National Agroforestry Center has just released two new
Agroforestry Notes. One is on 'Planning Biotechnical Streambank
Protection' and the other 'Biotechnical Streambank Protection
- The Use of Plants to Stabilize Streambanks'. The site has
a variety of other streambank notes and riparian buffer notes
and flyers that are available through pdf or can be ordered
for free at http://www.unl.edu/nac/.
New Edition of SLSHII Manual
The Sustainable Land Stewardship Institute has announced a
second edition of Bioassessment Training Manual. The Bioassessment
Training Manual discusses the importance of citizen involvement
in volunteer monitoring; introduces benthic macroinvertebrates;
and explains watershed hydrology and stream chemistry. Visit
