Herpetologist
Nature Conservancy, Middletown, PA
The Nature Conservancy’s Pennsylvania Science Office
is seeking herpetologist that will be responsible for assisting
in the protection, conservation, management, and research
efforts concerning native Pennsylvania reptiles, amphibians,
non-game fishes and aquatic organisms. Herpetologist will
serve as the PA Fish and Boat Commission’s principle
liaison to the PA Natural Diversity Inventory (PNDI). Will
also assist in reviewing project permits for the presence
of endangered and threatened species. Position is for one
year with potential for further funding. Applicant should
have a master’s degree in zoology with a concentration
in fisheries and/or herpetology or a related natural science
area. Should also have familiarity with methodology of the
network of Natural Heritage Programs and Conservation Data

Geoscientist

Environmental Auditor

grade students in the area of environmental education; training

The Imago Earth Center is a grassroots, urban nature preserve
located five minutes from downtown Cincinnati. The Earth
Center is seeking motivated, passionate individuals who are
interested in the environment to help continue the growth
of this young organization. Job duties include teaching program
curricula to participants ages three to adult; helping maintain
facilities through trail work and habitat restoration efforts;
and completing a project designed to improve the organization
while at the same time expanding the intern’s experience.

Environmental Education Internship
Pennsylvania
Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center in Petersburg,
PA is an environmental education laboratory administered
by Penn State University. The Center offers environmental
education programs for visiting groups, natural/cultural
history exhibits, live amphibians and reptiles, hiking trails,
and more. Interns are encouraged to participate in all aspects
of the Center’s operation. A two-week orientation and
training period is followed by seasonal program opportunities
in both day and resident settings. Interns work with all
ages, preschool to adult, and with a variety of groups. Internships
are 12-19 weeks depending on the season. On-site intern house
with private rooms is provided, as well as a weekly stipend

Manager of Electrical Environmental Support – Air

Environmental Support for Air group. Duties include providing

Outdoors Educator

Nature’s Classroom in Carrollton, Ohio is seeking individuals
to teach outdoor education to fourth through eighth grade
students, Monday – Friday, in a residential camp setting.
Educators will instruct hands-on classes, lead day and night
hikes, give nature center tours, and more. Must have a BA/BS
or related experience working with children. First Aid, CPR,
or EMT training helpful but not required. Interested individuals

Outdoor Environmental Educator
Campbell Gard YMCA Outdoor Center in St. Clair Township,
Southwest Ohio is seeking an outdoor environmental educator.
This is a hands-on field position that directly involves
teaching and leading groups in a variety of outdoor, environmental,
and recreational activities at the camp. Subjects range
from the natural sciences, outdoor living skills, cultural
history, adventure/challenge programs to a living history
program. Must have associate or bachelor’s degree
in education, environmental science, biology, botany, outdoor
recreation, forestry, wildlife management, or a related
field. Previous experience in OE program, teaching or summer
camp in a plus. Dates of employment: Fall – September
9 to December 17, 2002; Spring – January 8 to June
3, 2003. Salary is $200 - $225 per week, plus room, board,
