The Eastern Coal Regional Roundtable
The Eastern Coal Regional Roundtable (ECRR) is a service
effort created by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) and the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of
Surface Mining (OSM) in cooperation with watershed groups
and other stakeholders representing thirteen states (AL,
IL, IN, IO, KY, MD, MO, OH, OK, PA, TN, VA, WV) in the
eastern coal region of the U.S. The ECRR is designed to
bring together watershed groups in a collaborative environment
where resources and ideas can be shared among hundreds
of stakeholders with an interest in Acid Mine Drainage
remediation efforts, including watershed groups, coal companies,
government agencies and private individuals. Associated
groups communicate via email and conferences organized
by the ECRR. To learn more about the ECRR or to join, visit
their website at www.easterncoal.org.
