Project Green
Sweep
Project
Green Sweep, funded by the Ohio Environmental Education
Fund, was a collaborative effort between ILGARD, the
Scioto County Health Department, and other representatives
from the community. All participants shared the common
goal of increasing public awareness about illegal
dumping and existing legal alternatives in Scioto
County. The most important component of the project
was community outreach. The green sweep committee
designed educational displays, public service announcements,
two commercials and fact sheets for local government
officials, civic organizations, students k-12, and
other community groups. The fact sheets can be found
below.
