1998 Southern Ohio Manufacturing Wage
and Benefit Survey ILGARD-Ohio University, in cooperation
with the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission, Governor's
Economic Development Regions 7 and 11, and local economic
development officials, conducted a manufacturing wage, benefit,
and labor survey of the following 14 counties in Southern
Ohio: Adams, Athens, Clermont, Fayette, Gallia, Highland,
Hocking, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and
Vinton.
The following information was collected in the survey and
can be accessed from this website:
- Wage information for 21 job titles (including both salaried
and hourly positions).
- Insurance and benefits information, including medical
insurance, retirement plans, education benefits, vacation,
profit sharing, and sick leave.
In addition to the region-wide report, the information is
also reported by sub-regions, or smaller groupings of counties.
To access wage and benefit information for the 14-county region
or any of the four subregions, click on the following tabs.
Tab 1 (PDF: 1536KB / 36 pages) contains the 14-county
wage and benefit information. The wage information is
presented for each of the 21 surveyed job titles. The
benefits information is presented in a series of tables immediately
following the region-wide wage data in Tab 1.
Tab 2 (PDF: 1508KB / 30 pages) contains wage and benefit
information for the North Sub-region (Athens, Fayette, Highland,
Hocking, Ross, Vinton).
Tab 3 (PDF: 1508KB / 30 pages) contains wage and
benefit information for the South Sub-region (Adams, Clermont,
Gallia, Jackson, Meigs, Pike, Lawrence).
Tab 4 (PDF: 1509KB / 31 pages) contains wage and benefit
information for the East Sub-region (Athens, Gallia, Jackson,
Meigs, Hocking, Lawrence, Vinton).
Tab 5 (PDF: 1509KB / 30 pages) contains wage and benefit
information for the West Sub-region (Adams, Clermont, Fayette,
Highland, Pike, Ross, Scioto).
